A Happy App for That

There's a Happy App for That: Making Retraining Your Brain Fun

When adopting new habits and retraining your brain, sometimes you need a little extra help getting those habits to stick. It's one thing to get insight into a better way of living, but a completely different thing to actually create new behaviors so you get the results you want.

Fortunately, you have a lot of helpful resources to choose from. You could work with a trained coach who understands you and guides you along, participate in a specialized training program or join a supportive community of people with similar objectives.

You could also diligently use powerful organizing tools that hold you to account such as a FranklinCovey® Planner system or follow a prescriptive formula from a great book like The One Minute Manager.

Or you could use an app.

Technology to the Rescue

I came across this app somewhere along my techno-travels and was thrilled to see that it can be a nice complement to Compass Playbook. If your portables are iOS and you would like an app to help you shift your thinking and retrain your brain, check out Happy App. (Yes, here's an Android equivalent)

If you take the time to commit to using this app (like anything), you may be able to more quickly get that brain doing the right things that make you not only feel better but put you in control of your thinking.

Or, you could just continue to trust your emotions as they'll never lead you astray.

Feel bad? Change your thinking. Feel great? Keep those thoughts active!
